Paying tribute to Mothers at West Wiltshire Crematorium
West Wiltshire Crematorium is inviting people to visit to remember and pay tribute to loved ones they have lost in honour of Mother’s Day.
On Saturday 9 March, between 10am and 11am, visitors are being invited to spend some peaceful time in the crematorium’s chapel for reflection and remembrance.
Additionally, between Monday 4 March and Sunday 10 March – Mother’s Day itself – visitors to the site will be able to collect Mother’s Day cards and write a personal message in memory of their loved one.
The card can then be placed into the crematorium’s Letters to Heaven memorial post box.
West Wiltshire Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 40 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.
Manager Louise Belsey said: “We know that occasions like Mother’s Day are when people can particularly feel the loss of a loved one, which is why we always like to offer something to enable people to pay tribute in a special way.
“We know that our Letters to Heaven memorial post box has given many people a sense of comfort and a feeling of connection to someone they have lost, and we hope to do this again for Mother’s Day.
“Regardless of whether they’re newly bereaved or lost their loved one a while ago, or where their funeral took place, our Mother’s Day invitation is open to anyone who is looking for a quiet place of reflection and comfort at this special time of year.”
