Celebration of life at West Wiltshire Crematorium

West Wiltshire Crematorium is looking forward to welcoming visitors to a Summer Celebration of Life Event next month.

The non-religious service will take place on Wednesday 5 June at 6pm.

It will be led by Celebrant Rachel Brown, who will be supported by local choir OneVoice.

West Wiltshire Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 40 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.

Westerleigh Group prides itself on providing exceptional care to the bereaved, the standards of which are inspected by the Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities (FBCA) in England and Wales, and the Scottish Government in Scotland.

West Wiltshire Crematorium manager Louise Belsey said: “The aim of the event is to enable local people to come together and remember their loved ones on a summer evening within the peaceful setting of the crematorium’s grounds.

“Long-term remembrance is a huge part of what we do here, helping the bereaved to honour their loved ones in a wide variety of different ways.

“It can bring great comfort to the bereaved to be able to celebrate the lives of their loved ones, and there’s no better way to do that than in the company of others in a similar position, at our beautiful crematorium.

“Anyone who comes to the event can also put a letter, card or message to their loved one in our Letters to Heaven memorial post box.

“Light refreshments will be available in the evening, there is no charge, and no booking is necessary.

“We look forward to welcoming members of our local communities to our Summer Celebration of Life event.”
